Desired Candidate Profile
We are currently seeking an individual for a managerial role to coordinate existing electrical operations and oversee the growth and further development of the electrical division.
B.E. Electrical Engineer of around 35 to 45 years of age having minimum of 10 to 15 years experience preferably of Gulf countries. The candidate should have sound technical knowledge, managerial capabilities in the field of electrical maintenance & contracting, electrical testing, commissioning, servicing and repair of EHV/LV substation equipment, transformers, motors, switchgears and generators.
T&C manager will be responsible for managing multiple jobs through coordinating the effective use of technical staff, equipment and other resources, ensuring jobs are completed to client standards, and enforcing AMEC policies and procedures. The T&C manager will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing job costs and making cost effective decisions in order to increase profitability without sacrificing quality or service. The T&C manager will directly contributes towards the company’s sales, marketing and business development initiatives through up-selling AMEC services to clients and seeking opportunities to assemble quotes and proposals.
The successful candidate will have several years of testing and commissioning experience in a managerial role mixed with extensive field and project management experience. Effective communication skills are a must, as this candidate will be in direct contact with clients on a regular basis. This candidate will also be responsible for providing mentorship, guidance and training to junior technical staff.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop project plans, including the scheduling of staff, equipment and additional resources.Manage jobs while on-site and ensure safety, productivity, client satisfaction, client relations and test results all meet exceptional standards of quality and efficiency.
- Evaluate completed jobs to identify what worked well and what could be improved on the next project and communicate lessons learned.
- Work with administrative staff to ensure paper flow and invoicing information is effectively handled to allow prompt and accurate billing and technical reports.
- Ensure jobs are completed and effectively wrapped up leaving no “loose ends” or unfinished work.
- Ensure all jobs are completed according to client standards
- Provide skilled technical labour and advice on technical projects.
- Maintain good rapport with co-workers through portraying a positive work ethic and commitment to technical skill and professional development.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to building a positive team environment and working co-operatively.
- Provide clients with recommendations for possible repairs or upgrades required through assessing technical issues on site.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction on all technical projects.
- Provide extra effort on projects with tight timelines and be willing to travel for company projects.
- Continually develop technical skill set and capabilities through learning and professional development.
- Assist other technical staff with technical problems, project management issues and safety requirements.
- Provides mentorship, support and learning opportunities to junior technical staff, as well as hands-on site training on technical procedures
- Provide clients with recommendations for possible repairs or upgrades required through assessing technical issues on site.
- Prepare basic technical quotations and assist with responses to client RFP’s.
- Develop and foster positive and productive business relationships with representatives with AMEC clients.
- Seek opportunities to grow the business by promoting AMEC services to new and existing clients.
- Up-sell AMEC services when working with clients in an effort to generate new opportunities for sales and business development opportunities.
- Up-sell AMEC services and products while working with clients in order to generate new business and revenue opportunities.
- Visit project site periodically and resolve outstanding issues.

Manager must keep both the company goals and client expectations in mind when developing business strategies and overseeing daily operations. A part of the job description of a manager is also to manage those client expectations and recommend to the company executives ways his department or division can better meet company goals.
Preference will be given to candidates having prior UAE experience and approval from DEWA/ADWEA
